As in many other artistic movements, from the avant-garde of the early 20th century such as Dadaism and Surrealism to contemporary art, manipulated photography, as a creative and artistic cultural language, is a critical tool and a space for reflection that shapes tangible and challenging alternative realities, provoking an emotional, intellectual, and aesthetic reaction in the individual's consciousness through inquiry, a personal, intimate, and artistic axiom of "I am" as a fundamental concept, the result of which is an absolute work of art that moves in the realm of hybridization between photography, painting, sculpture, or artistic installation. Kúu is one of those terms with a deep poetic charge without an exact translation that escapes the rigid limits of linguistics. For the Japanese, it represents on one hand the sky and on the other those empty spaces full of energy, where imagination can take flight and creativity can be unleashed without limits.
